Also we all know Peter is so popular and receives tons of emails. But we did not know they are coming from the makers of Viagra. Umm Peter - TMI - Too Much Information. Enough said!
Program:
Steve Mooney introduced our guest speaker Christine Bolzan. She is the founder and CEO of Graduate Career Coaching.
Christine introduced herself and explained how she started out. She started her business in her slippers as a stay at home mom. From there she skyrocketed to the Today Show and talks with Chet Curtis. Christine is very passionate about utilizing all the social avenues via the internet and many others. She helps a lot of college kids find jobs.
Christine explained the importance of getting your name out there. Whether it is your business name or personal profile. By using Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter you can market yourself to many people all over the world.
Facebook alone has one the largest followings. With all the members it could form the fourth largest country.
Christine explained how we can benefit from all of these social networking sites.
The presentation was very informative.
Membership Moment:
A strong membership is so important to the overall success of any organization. Growth and retention have to be in the spotlight constantly. As membership chair I have been charged with heading the largest committee in the Club...each and everyone of us. Collectively we can make TBM stronger, more involved in the communities we serve and fun.
When was the last time you asked a friend, a neighbor or business associate to come to a TBM meeting? I admit, it's been a while since I put out an invitation and I have a goal to find one person to join our ranks during this Rotary year.
I ask everyone to please share your thoughts and ideas as to how we can grow the ranks of TBM.
