Program:
Jerry Moses, who began his career in the MLB in 1967 the Sox was our speaker today. Great humor including digs to the President...Todd that is...were enjoyed by all. Gerry gave us some thoughts about the state of baseball today. He said that in order to perform, mental strength is the most important attribute a player needs. If your minds not in the game you're not going to make it very long.
Jerry pointed out that the current Red Sox team is made up of truly great, personable guys. As a team they brought more people into more ball parks around the country than any other team in the league.
Locally we are in one of the greatest periods in sports of all times. The Patriots with their 3 Super Bowls, The Sox and their 2 world series, the Celtics are playing like champions and the Bruins are doing well too. Thank goodness for NESN.
Jerry and his bride of 39 years live in Georgetown. He is involved in the family businesses; Annie's Boston Brownies and The Dazzling Dot, both headquartered in Topsfield. Annie's make gourmet brownies and "The Dot" is a custom gift company that really enables someone to make a lasting impression.
