"In case you are thinking about making a Sustaining Member contribution in December so the tax deduction is for this year, please be sure to get it to me no later than Dec. 19 which will be the last TBM meeting in December. Remember, the larger the contribution, the larger the deduction.

Program:

This week's speaker, Sheila Fields, Topsfield's Counsel on Aging Director and former Beverly Rotarian, spoke about the happenings at the COA.

They provide a multitude of services and information that help the senior community and their children in Topsfield. They help with referrals to services, sponsor lunches, provide exercise classes such as Tia chi and yoga and they work closely with the police and fire departments in caring for the town's senior population. The COA provides transportation for those that cannot get around themselves, they help arrange health insurance counseling through SHINE and they work to keep the seniors safe with assistance from the Sheriffs Department and TRIAD.

Please call Sheila if you or anyone you know is interested in volunteering to help out at the center.
