Rotarians O'er the World, You Lead the Way!

Commissioned to commemorate the visit of Donna Jean Wayman, Rotary International District Governor, District 7930, to the Topsfield, Boxford and Middleton Rotary Club, Massachusetts, USA, on September 6, 2006.

President John rang the bell at 12:15 MST and Joe Carroll brought up the fact the we as Rotarians, find ways to do what we do, all around the world, all the while having to deal with different religious and legal systems.

If you missed today's meeting, you have until February 21, 2007 to complete a makeup.

Happy and sad dollars were collected by the dynamic duo, SAA Jeff Kruck and Peter MacAllister. Additional raffle tickets offered up by Peter today in an attempt to lure a lucky winner.

  • Todd Darling was happy for spending quality time this morning with the kids.

  • Eden Hutt was happy as his boys, Jack, 7 and Theo, 5, took ski lessons at Bradford. Theo was very interested in the instructor especially when she offered hot chocolate. He plans on asking her for her hand next week.

Program:

Today's speaker was our own Jeff Kruck. Jeff filled us in on the goings on in the real estate world and the importance of paying attention.

One of our biggest investments is the property we own. You should pay attention to where there market is with respect to that investment. There's information out there on the web but the problem exists that this information isn't always accurate. You should have a relationship with a trusted real estate advisor, a Realtor.

Psychology is a very big part of the real estate sales world. Sellers have difficult times coming the gripes with the fact that they cannot get the same price for their property as they could 6 or 12 months ago. They need to understand that neither can the seller of the property which they will buy.

We looked at some statistical analysis for sales in the three towns we serve. Jeff made clear that these statistics can be broker down even further by analyzing specifics about property that a person is interested. For example, how have 4 bedroom homes been affected by the market. How about properties that where built within a certain period of time? A professional real estate advisor can answer these questions and help you make the right decision for you.

Have specific questions, Call Jeff at Keller Williams, 978-887-3995.
