The clinic is put to work Mar 2, 2005
It still needs to be finished, but the walls are up, the rooms are partitioned and the roof is on. This allowed us to begin seeing patients.

The roof is ready to be poured.
From small beginnings, great thoughts grew:
Chicago's shorefront saw the opening day.
Two, three, a hundred, thousands knew
Their hopes for service as a theme would lead the way.
Love, work and service, said the sages, held the keys
To human progress, peace and happiness.
Soon, many more from lands across the seas
Joined to create the vast, wide effort we now bless.
Now, three small towns in Massachusetts fields
Contribute to this global service quest,
Believing each small act of kindness yields
Torrential good in places east and west.
In future years we'll build upon this base
To help our children, youth, adults and aging in the fray
Towards harmony, with knowledge, health and hope before each face.

Program:
Tom Elliot, Danvers Rotarian, past President 1996-1997, co-chair of the Mike Regan Charity Golf Tournament, co-chair of the Rotary Pavilion and District Governor nominee for 2008 introduced our District Governor, Donna Wyman.
Donna has been a Wilmington Rotarian since 1988. Her profession is working as a Realtor. She has served as Club President twice, 1995-96 and 2002-2003. She maintains perfect attendance. Donna is the past President of the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce. She is involved in a mentoring program in which she serves as a mentor for a student.
Donna read an e-mail that has been circulating for some time about a mouse and a mouse trap. When he asked the barn yard animals for help they all made excuses not to give aid. Ironically they were the one's who needed help in the end. The moral of the story was that you can't just walk away from other people's problems or needs. You should help. One of the reasons she loves being a Rotarian is just that attitude. Rotary takes on problems. Rotarians don't say, "It's my problem, it's no skin off my nose." Rotarians get involved and aren't afraid to do so.
Donna emphasized Bill Boyd's vision as RI President for 2006-2007. Literacy will remain as the forefront with a continued emphasis on concentrated learning. Water management will continue with the completion of the Honduras water project. Health and Hunger will be addressed and a Rota plast mission is already planned for a trip in Columbia, South America. Family of Rotary efforts will be used to further involve our own families. When we are involved our families become involved. Attract new members, look at the ages in your clubs remember and involved families of deceased members. Often the surviving spouses become active Rotarians because they felt a part of the organization.
For the year, net 1 new member. If every club in the world does this we'll be 32,000 stronger. Concentrate on retention.
Rotary saves lives and changes lives. Donna's life was changed in the last 2 and half years because of her involvement as a DG. "We have become too comfortable in our own clubs." Go to district events, visit and makeup at other clubs. Meet new people. Sit at a different seat location every time you attend your own meetings. By following these ideas, Donna has found new friendships at the District and at the International levels. "Get out of you comfort zone, meet new friends and strengthen the bonds."
Donna announced some up coming District events that will enable you to get started in changing your life.
October 11th there is a District Foundation seminar at the Sheraton Ferncroft.
May 10-13 the District Conference will be held at the Wyndham Hotel in Bermuda. The event will be held in conjunction with District 7950.
3 fun and fellowship events during the year include a golf tourney that was held in August, a "bowl-a-thon will be held in March in Gloucester and a 3rd is to be announced.
Donna's main message is get out of your comfort zone, get involved, meet new people, strengthen your Rotary ties and see how much more we can do more as Rotarians.
