The Tri-Town RotaNews - April 26, 2006
President Peter brought the meeting to order and Joe Carroll offered grace.
Visiting Rotarians and Guests:
Today we were visited by our Assistant Governor Julia Phelps from the Danvers Club. It's always a pleasure to have Julia in our midst.
Make Ups:
There were no makeup cards today
If you missed today's meeting, you have until May 10 to complete a makeup.
Fines and Happy Dollars:
Happy dollars were collected by SAA Eden Hutt.
- Derek Scialdone had to depart earlier but left word (and $'s) with the Sergeant at Arms that he was happy his wife is feeling good.
- Gretchen Marks deposited cash for a recent bumper sticker she saw that read "Ask me about my grand dogs";
- Harry Martin had 2 bucks for guess what everyone? Get you sustaining member donations in to Harry or on line as the Rotary year is drawing to and end June 30.
- Linda Parker brought her spare change to the meeting today.
- Joanne Travers was happy for the audiologist equipment she had gathered.
- Oscar Padjen quietly made a contribution.
- Joe Long gave 3 bucks for the one beaming baseball game his son Christopher pitched in recently.
- Todd Darling (President Elect 2007-08) was happy to have Julia Phelps (Governor 2007-08) here today.
- Bill Shannon gave a happy $5 for his bride Debbie who came to him one morning this week complaining of back pain and wanting to replace their new mattress. Instead, Bill called Eden and had her rearranged and now, Debbie thinks Eden is "just wonderful"...oh Fabio where's your hair?
- Eden, looking little older, fessed up and contributed a dollar per year for his birthday last week. He got a round of "Happy Birthday To You" from the club. One step closer...

See President Peter if you're planning on going for the weekend or even for one of the days.. The GSE team from Amsterdam will be in attendance and Rick King, past RI President will be there too.
- Todd Darling announced that RYLA interviews for the Aggie will be held Friday by Linda Parker. Joe Long has volunteered to assist.
- Gary Sinclair asked that everyone check out the designs done by MASCO students for the next 2 years FFC. Jan Sinclair and Dave Twitchell have been involved in getting the Masco Graphic Arts department back into the fold. Students designed logos and letterhead for the event. Excellent job Jan Gary and Dave. The students present their projects to Jan and Gary as part of the selling of their product.
- Dave Twitchell is back at Brigham and Women's but that hasn't kept him from being involved in the Road race logo planning. Hope to see you back here soon Dave!
- Todd Darling reminds all that the 8th annual golf tournament is approaching. June 12th we will be teeing off at the Ipswich Country Club. Spread the word. Sponsor and golfer forms can be downloaded from the RotaryTBM web site. We're in need of auction items, sport tickets, golf items etc. Other rotary clubs that send foursomes will receive a donation in their name to RI back from our club. E-mail your mailbox and make an appeal to all your friends, co workers and family members. Let's make this year tourney the best ever. Ask a friend to come to lunch next week. See you next week...
