Announcements
Gary Sinclair led the way with a happy dollar celebrating an end to the all night graduation party aboard the Spirit of Boston. They only lost one chair overboard down form the entire dinette set last year. Jan Sinclair received a clang from the bell at her yacht club for successfully docking the 38’ “Ebenezer” all by herself. These Rotarian marriages seem to have all the fun!
Last minute golfers and hole sponsors can still make the June 20th outing. Ask everyone you haven’t asked.
The Installation Dinner for incoming presidents and elected officers will be June 30th 6-8 at the Danversport yacht club. Peter and Maureen invite all interested Rotarians to enjoy a night out. So far we will be joined by Gary and Jan, Harry and his wife Linde, Linda P. and GLen. My first act as new President will be to ask my new Vice President to conduct my first meeting, as I will be in California visiting Mom.
The Board met today deciding to send a letter of termination to Dave Bunker for non-attendance. It is with regret that we lose a newer member and could not capture Dave’s enthusiasm for Rotary. We will be seeking a new Vice President. We must continue our efforts to find worthy and committed future Rotarians in our communities. They are out there.
The board also discussed the contributing to the Rotary Foundation to the tune of $2500. The fiscal year deadline for contributions is this coming Wednesday. Are you close to $500 as a Sustaining Member? Are you looking for a worthy charity to donate to? Does your company have a matching contribution program? Think fast! Act now! Call Harry! Go on the RI Website! Why are you still reading this! GO!
The Golf Tournament, our biggest fund raiser of the year is just around the corner, less than two weeks away.
The new date is:
Monday, June 20, 2005
.
Volunteers are needed in all departments, sponsor sign ups, marketing, p.r., recruiting golfers, donation collections and more.
Please volunteer your services and let Todd know that you can help.
Sign sponsorships can still be sold. Names of new sponsors especially need to be submitted so that we can get signs made up.
In lieu of our regular meeting all members are invited to join the golf crowd for lunch. Many attended last year's event and the golfers got a chance to see who is behind the scenes of this important fund raiser.
