Balloons and Birthday Cake
Balloons and Birthday Cake set the stage for celebrating Rotary's 100th.

President Linda dinged the bell and Joe Carroll blessed the meeting and Rotary's efforts world wide. Clubs are in 168 countries around the world. Even with all that's going on in the world there are more signs of peace than ever before.

It was great to see Jack Leitner and Dave Twitchell back in the room.

Visiting Rotarians and Guests:

Visitors and guests included AG Bruce Whear, Susan Nelson, Mark Liqui, Maureen McAllister and Clair Sheff Kohn.

Make Ups:

There were no makeup cards today.

Fines and Happy Dollars:

Seargent At Arms John picked up Spencer for his weekly trip around the dance floor.

  • Our esteemed President Elect Peter was happy for his much better half, Maureen, being in attendance. Although they had a sad time today as they had attended a funeral.

  • Gary raided Jan's wallet and put 2 bucks in the pot.

  • Bob Was added 2 more.

  • Harry Martin mysteriously found another 2 dollar bills...I see a trend here. Don't forget to become a sustaining member. It's important that we continuously support the Foundation.

  • Joanne paid for her drive to collect baseball gloves, balls, bats, bases etc for the kids in the Dominican.

  • Bruce Whear recognized Linda. Time for a hair style change Linda. I'm just remembering when you changed your hair like 5 times in a 6 week period last year.

  • Jack Leitner is happy as hell to be here.

  • Bob Murphy was happy Jack was happy.

  • Jim Fitzgerald too!!

  • Eden paid for a funny story about how Jen should never let him watch the kids alone ever, I mean ever again. Glue for Chap Stick? Seems Eden, working to put his little guy Theo to bed one night, thought he was putting Chap Stick on Theo's lips. Theo must have thought his "lipstick" tasted kind off funny. Eden decides to put on the lights and check the tube out. Much to his horror it was a tube of glue stick the kids use to make art projects. All I can say Eden is watch your toothpaste when the kid gets older...payback is, you know.

Program:

Mark Liqui is Inducted.

Mark Liqui is inducted in the festive atmosphere of a birthday party.

Today the Club celebrated Rotary's 100 years (we seem to be running ahead of the curve) and as a special tribute inducted our newest member Mark Liqui, a Chiropractor in Middleton. I sense a classification talk is in order in the near future. Poor Mark was made a little nervous not quite knowing what to expect during his "initiation". I might have had a little to do with that, hee, hee. Seriously Mark, welcome to TBM we know you'll make new friends, enjoy our community even more than you can imagine and have fun. The golf tournament in May awaits you!

(approximately 17 minutes viewing time)

Joanne Travers put together a slide show of our recent exploits that was fantastic. Background music by the Yellow Jackets and photos from the road races, golf tournaments, town fairs, meetings and such were just great. A wonderful tribute to the Club. Thank you Joanne. Can't wait to see the sequel.
