Our sign in the snow
Today’s meeting was a light turnout because Mother Nature dumped some more snow.

President Linda rang the bell to begin the meeting and lead us all in the Pledge of Allegiance. John Plate provided the thoughts for the day.

Visiting Rotarians and Guests:

Jan Sinclair's guest on this blustery day was Adam Scott of Smith-Barney.

There were no visiting Rotarians.

Make Ups:

Bob Luscinski made up at on January 18,

and at on January 25.

Fines and Happy Dollars:

Harry’s birthday finally arrived with due fanfare and very poor math skills.

Harry matched the pot with an even $100.00 and John Plate added another $180.00 or $28 or ?????.

Very confusing Pot Management skills by the Sergeant at Arms.

He finally agreed to $20.00 for the confusion.

Raffle:

No winners today.

Announcements

  • We’re looking forward to seeing Dave Twitchell if he can make one of the upcoming meetings. Jim Fitzgerald will bring him if possible. Our thoughts are with you Dave.

  • Joanne Travers announced the final reading of the grant to help fund the hearing project in the Dominican Republic. She will also organize a school supply drive and or baseball glove/ball drive ending April 1.

  • Feb 23rd we are planning a joint meeting with Lynnfield Club at Angelica’s.

  • Comedy Night in April on a Thursday as a fundraiser. Paul Gilligan can gather the talent. Chris has DJ’s that owe him a favor. This could be the greatest night o your life!

    Stay tuned.

  • I believe we omitted the fact that Topsfield Boxford Middleton Rotary donated $1500.00 to the Chief Wills Day Committee along with the Middleton Board of Trade $1500.00 and the Kiwanis Club, $1500.00 as a result of the golf tournament at the Ferncroft.

  • Sustaining Members of the Rotary Foundation contributions are...DUE. The $100.00 donation by each club member keeps us at 100%. Check your checks. Just $2.00 a week and you have $4.00 left over to buy Harry a beer for his hard work.

Program:

There was no program today, but Gary Sinclair led an active discussion on reviving the Service Above Self Award. The concensus was to open it up to the entire student body to recognize the student that best exemplifies the motto. The board will consider the final structure at a later date.
