Announcements:

  • Jack Leitner is doing well as Linda reported to the Club that he under went surgery last Tuesday and is recuperating at Beverly Hospital. I had the occasion to visit with Jack as my son Christopher was in the IV therapy unit on Thursday getting his monthly IGG treatment. I snuck down to room 201 where I meet Jan and Gary in Jack's room. I think that may constitute a makeup of sorts. His spirits and attitude are absolutely remarkable. Jack insists laughter is the best medicine even though it smarts like you know what at times. He managed to break out of Beverly on Friday and is currently recouping at home. Rumor has it Jack is still special ordering the hospitals famed meatloaf! We're looking forward to getting Mr. Pepsi back into the fold.

  • Jan Sinclair is working on the beginnings of a Christmas party for the Club. Thoughts, ideas or if you'd like to help, please give her a call.

  • Jan Sinclair, Gary Sinclair and Linda Parker will be venturing to Haiti soon. They need to bring with them toothbrushes and toothpaste, soap, crayons and coloring books, and any other small toiletries items that can be used.

  • We heard from Al Craig, the man responsible for helping the Club with our premo location for our Maserati raffle. Thank you too to Sally O'Malley for enabling us to make our three-day weekend a success!

  • And the winner is, Jack Collins. Congratulations Jack you've won a weekend with the car Ira can't spell and a room at a Marriott of your choice. Enjoy!!

  • Harry Martin presented Ira Singer with the special award for spelling Maseradi, er Masarati, er Maazaratti, oh you know. Good thing Ira wasn't helping out the day of the dictionary deliveries!! Click here to view the award.

  • The 25th annual running of the Fall Foliage Classic is just a week away. Stay tuned for volunteering for the event. I'm sure we'll need course officials, water boys, timers and the like. Last year was great fun especially in the kitchen with all the hot dogs. Hey Bob Murphy are you getting the buns again this year?
