Announcements:
The BOD met last week and voted to allot another $2,000 to the Light up Masco project bringing the Club's total donation to $3,000. Program:
Today's speaker was Kristen Breen who is a massage therapist in Topsfield. Kristen grew up in Wenham with Eden's wife Jennifer.
Kristen's evolution into the field of massage began as an occupational therapist working for the Pentucket Regional School District. During her tenure there Kristen was involved in a serious auto accident, which impacted her life greatly as the effects limited her abilities to pursue her joy of skiing and water sports. She rehabilitated with the help of massage and as a result became interested in the field.
Her first job, working in a salon setting didn't inspire her as she wanted to be more involved on a health care level. After working with a couple of chiropractors Kristen decided to call her childhood friends husband on a hunch. Jennifer, Eden's better half and human resource manager, hired Kristen while Eden was away at a conference and the rest is history.
Massage can be used for stress and tension relief, it can help decrease pain and stiffness from injury, it helps increase the flow of nutrients into an ailing area of the body, it helps increase metabolism. Massage has many useful applications. As an incentive to try massage, Kristen invited members to visit for an hour session for half price.
Kristen's latest endeavor is the study of cranial sacral therapy, which can benefit people who suffer from migraines, TMJ, ADD, PDD, colicky babies and those individuals who have tried it all and still can't find relief. Please visit Kristen at Dr Hutt's office and relax yourself.
President Linda thanks speaker Kristen Breen for her presentation to the TBM Club.
