Visiting Rotarians and Guests:

There were no visiting Rotarians, but Linda Parker had 3 guests - Mr. & Mrs. Clements and their son Chase who was our speaker. Eden Hutt's guest was Dave Bunker.

Fines and Happy Dollars:

Jack Leitner was fined because he didn't notify Barbara that the Club would not be at Angelica's next week.

Peter McAllister was again late and paid his normal fine. He also had happy and sad dollars. Sad - he broke his collarbone. Happy - he will now have 6-8 weeks vacation.

Joanne Travers happy dollars - her son's hearing has improved and she is leaving for Newport Beach, California for the weekend.

Dave Twitchell paid a fine to give the history of Spencer Spat (our pot) which was introduced to the Club in 1977.

Denver challenged Members to guess his age and he would pay his age as a fine. Dave lead the Club a with a Happy Birthday song. Denver is 77 years Young.

Program:

Chase Clements addresses TBM

Our speaker was 13 years old Chase Clements who talked about his Community Service Projects in the city of Beverly and his ambition to devote 4,000 hours to Community Service during his lifetime. He had a video of the two public places Dane Street Beach and Independence Park that he and mother spent hours cleaning brush and planting beautiful flowers. Independence Park was planted with Red, White and Blue flowers and shaped as a flag. Dane Street Beach was a medley of color flowers. This young man gave an emotional presentation and challenged Rotarians to raise to a high level of Community Service. In addition to his Community Service Project he has written an article for the Christian Science Monitor and is now in the process or writing a book.
