Rotary's Global Quest Reminder Card

The files rgqcard.doc (front graphic) and rgqback.doc (back text) are formatted to be used with Avery product number 8373(TM), Print to the Edge, Ink Jet Business Cards (8 cards/sheet, 2" x 3-1/2"). The files were set up and saved using MS Word 2000. In addition to MS Word 2000, they have been used successfully with Word 97, and after some adjustment to the graphic, the page margins and the cell width and height, with Word 7.0/Win95. The printer used in all cases was the HP DeskJet 722C.

The printer settings for the back text portion of the card were HP Premium Inkjet Paper, Normal Print Quality.

The Printer settings for the front graphic portion of the card were HP Deluxe Photo Paper, Best Print Quality.

Following Avery's recommendation, the back text portion of the cards (rgqback.doc) were printed first. The edge with the Avery Logo, glossy side up, was fed first into the printer. Again following Avery's recommendation, the sheets were single fed.

When sufficient card backs were printed, the printer settings were changed and the sheets were single fed into the printer, printed side up, glossy side down, special textured edge (opposite Avery Logo edge) first.

When the finished cards are removed from the sheet, the fine perforations can be smoothed by rubbing with the fingers for single or small groups of cards. For large packs of cards, rubbing againsr a hard radiused edge works well.
