Intended to be a source of Rotary information, both locally and internationally as well as a means of fostering Rotary fellowship, the Topsfield, Boxford and Middleton Rotary Club web site was designed to be as browser and screen resolution independent as possible.

Older pages were tested using IE 2.X, Netscape 2.x, IE 3.x, and Netscape 3.x, and at resolutions from 640 X 480 to 1280 X 1024, and conform to the HTML 3.2 specification, with a few exceptions, which provided certain enhancements or compatibility with regard to the browsers used to test the various pages.

Newer pages are generally optimized for 1024 X 768 resolution, and are generally also readily viewable at 800 X 600 resolution. Limited use is made of JavaScript to open sized windows to enhance viewing. These links should also work with browsers that are not JavaScript enabled, as well as older browsers.

In general, browser specific enhancements have been avoided. While tables have been used extensively throughout the site, frames have not been used at all. All of the html code is available to anyone interested.

The graphics used are identified with the originators name if this is known. The banner graphics for the most part have been converted to transparent GIF files for compatibility with the design of the banner display theme. Original graphics by the author include the scans of the TBM club banner and annual theme banner, and the various annual theme backgrounds and may be used freely in connection with Rotary Club web sites.

The Rotary International Policy on Internet and Electronic Communications has been followed.
