Dear Club President:
It is with great pleasure and gratitude that I congratulate your club for being one of the top three per capita annual giving contributors in your district during 1996-97. I join the Trustees of The Rotary Foundation in thanking all of you for your generosity and dedication to the Foundation and its programs.
We often talk about the good work that Rotary can accomplish through its Foundation, but sometimes we overlook Rotarians as individuals without whom the vast work of Rotary could not be accomplished. The members of your club obviously share the dream for a better, more hospitable world for all of us. Thanks to their financial commitment we are striving to improve the human condition through our humanitarian programs and to increase trust between different peoples through our educational programs. Both of these endeavors serve as catalysts for effecting change toward a lasting world peace.
I encourage you to continue to lend your club's strong support of the Foundation during your year as president. Again, on behalf of the Trustees, staff and most importantly, those who ultimately benefit from your generosity, please accept our sincere thanks for your support of the Foundation and the goals we all share.
